Tour Description

Enjoy a tour of Edinburgh from the comfort of your own home. This is an interactive online experience that can be viewed on any device from anywhere in the world. A live streaming event that will be in real time, happening at the same time you are watching with no script. You will be able to talk to the guide directly, ask questions and even ask to see something in particular on the camera. It will be as if you are really here!

Discover why Stirling is one of the most important places in Scotland. Siting the centre of the country it has seen many battles which made heroes such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Stirling Castle in the Renaissance times was the pleasure palace of the Stuart Kings and Queens. It was painted all in gold and could be seen from miles away.

After a view of the castle exterior we continue down the streets of the old town of Stirling. We see the Church of Holy Rude which is the oldest building in the city other than the castle. This is the only place a British monarch has been crowned outside of Westminister Abbey, King James VI of Scotland who became King James I of England.

From the top of Bread Street we see the unfinished building of Mars Wark. It was home of the keeper of the castle and Earl of Mar. Next is Argyles Lodging which is a great example of a Renaissance home. This is where Viscount Canada, William Alexander, lived who was the founder of Nova Scotia. See his coat of arms above the entrance.

Continuing down the hill we see some more histoic building such as the Old Town Jail, Robert Spittal House and more. While exploring Stirling and seeing these historic buildings you will be intrigued by stories of Stuarts and their close associates. Come Join Us!
