Tour Description:
Take a day tour from Glasgow to the majestic beating heart of Scotland: a land of ancient fortresses, flowing stream, lochs, forests and hills; a land of kings, heroes, thieves and rogues! Enjoy wonderful lochside scenery, a cruise on Loch Lomond, lunch in Aberfoyle and a visit to the great Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's most important castles for centuries.
We cross the Firth OF Clyde, and head on to the 'Bonny, Bonny, Banks' of Loch Lomond. Our first stop is the pretty conservation village of Luss, with its Viking Grave, where you can wander along the shores or explore the village.
Then we move on to Balloch - where you can enjoy a leisurely cruise around the Southern parts of the loch. After our lunch stop in the village of Aberfoyle, we make our way into the Trossachs, on the southern edge of the Highlands, often called 'Scotland in miniature' because of its stunning scenery, and more famous perhaps, for being home to the outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor, one of Scotland's most famous Highlanders.

Driving through the Trossachs, we leave the best till last as we make our final stop of the day at the impressive and imposing Stirling Castle, perched majestically on its rocky outcrop, commanding wonderful views across the country. You have time to visit the castle and learn of exploits of key historical figures including William Wallace, Robert Bruce, King of Scots, and Mary, Queen of Scots, before we make our return journey back to Glasgow.
