    Tour Description:

Edinburgh City Sightseeing Tour Edinburgh is our hometown. And like a lot of locals, we love showing off our city. So on our Edinburgh city tours, we take you sightseeing around all of Edinburgh's glorious attractions. You'll learn about the mighty castle and all the cobbled backstreets, and you'll even be introduced to a few of the famous locals along the way.

You hop aboard our Edinburgh bus tour at Waverley Bridge in central Edinburgh. From here we travel Edinburgh City Sightseeing Tour along Princes Street, where you'll hear about the famous castle and gorgeous gardens.

We then head to the Grassmarket, one of the best places to visit in Edinburgh, and a place that functioned both as a lively market place and a notorious place of execution.

You’ll learn about Edinburgh’s most famous dog, Greyfriars Bobby, before we take you around Edinburgh’s central university area. The buildings here are stunning and there’s the chance to spot some of the magical places that inspired the Harry Potter books. We’ll point out the ‘birthplace’ of Harry Potter, The Elephant House Café on George IV Bridge.

Edinburgh City Sightseeing Tour After we've given you an introduction to Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile, we venture past the National Gallery and down into the new town. Here you'll learn about the Scottish pioneers who lived in these beautiful Georgian buildings.

Next, we head off the beaten track and into Edinburgh's quaint Dean Village. This residential zone was once a separate village and is packed full of charming cobbled lanes. We continue exploring the dean area, where you'll get a view of Stewart's Melville College and the Galleries of Modern Art. Here we learn about Edinburgh as the backdrop for various films and television productions, including Trainspotting, Sunshine on Leith and Inspector Rebus.

Edinburgh City Sightseeing Tour Back towards the city centre, we pass by the impressive St Mary's Cathedral, one of three cathedrals in Edinburgh. We then travel along George Street and Queen Street before taking you up past Calton Hill. With its classically influenced architecture, it definitely offers one of the best views of the city.

From here we head down toward the foot of Arthur’s Seat, past the Burns monument to Holyrood Park where the regal Holyrood Palace is located and the Scottish Parliament building. Our last leg of the journey takes us up through the Canongate and past John Knox House before heading back to Waverley Bridge for the end of the tour.
