Tour Description

Stunning landscape, majestic castles and dramatic history are just a few words often used to described the Scottish Highlands. Let Go Scotland Tours show you the very best of this part of Scotland. On a personal private guided tour you will get a chance to see parts of the highlands you may not see on a regular coach tour. A non-rushed relaxed enjoyable experience on a tour of the Scottish Highland tailor-made just for you.

Our private driver guides can pick you up from your hotel in Edinburgh, Glasgow and other parts of Scotland. We can customise a be-spoke tour at your request or you can choose from our recommended tours below..

Full Day Tour to Loch Ness. A long 12 hour day taking in the very best of the Scottish Highlands. As we head north crossing the Highland Boundary Fault Line we will pass by the historic Stirling Castle and hear the real story of Braveheart. Then we pass over the Spittal Bridge with a great view of Doune Castle, a medieval hunting lodge now used on film in such features as Monty Python and Outlander. We then stop for a comfort break at Kilmahog to see our famous Hairy Cows, alternatively we can make a scenic stop in the Trossachs.

The we pass through Glen Ogle, Crianlarich and Tyndrum.  After we pass through Ranoch Moor to reach Glencoe; full of history and stunning landscape most recently used in the latest James Bond film Skyfall. For lunch we can go to Fort William then after we stop at the Commando Memorial for views of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain.

We then travel up the Great Glen making our way to Loch Ness. We will stop at Fort Augustus where you have a chance to hop aboard the Royal Scot for a short 1 hour cruise of Loch Ness. This boat is equipped with sonar that is used to hunt the Loch Ness Monster. After you will have some time to walk through the Lock System of the Caledonian Canal.

Finally we turn south as we are half way on the tour. The tour continues through Loch Laggan and Ardverikie Castle, the setting for the tv series Monarch of the Glen. On the way back we stop in Pitlochry before ending your long day back in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The itinerary can be customised to your request depending on which attractions you would like to visit most. For more details contact us and we can start planning your tour of the Scottish Highlands.
