Tour Description:
Skye: "The Misty Isle" is our best kept secret and is one of Scotland's most breathtaking retreats.
Overnight on Skye
Walks around the island
Cuillin Mountains
From Edinburgh we travel through Rob Roy territory, passing Stirling Castle and over the wild expanse of Rannoch Moor to spectacular Glencoe. Our journey takes us through Fort William, under the shadow of Ben Nevis and along "The Road to the Isles" and over the sea to the Isle of Skye for the night.
On day 2 we travel around the island and take in some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet! The dramatic Cuillin Mountains, the Quiraing and Trotternish peninsula. Spot an inquisitive seal peeking out of the water or deer grazing as the light falls. Memories of Skye you will treasure for ever.
As we leave the island we pay a visit to the world famous Eilean Donan Castle before arriving on the banks of Loch Ness for our second night.
We begin the next day with some early morning monster spotting with a boat cruise on Loch Ness, before heading through the Highland Capital of Inverness and stopping for a visit to Culloden Battlefield.
