Tour Description:

Take a day tour for The Famous Grouse whisky Experience and visit Scotland's oldest distillery. After explore the scenic lochs and glens of Perthshire. Also we will stop at the castles of Stirling and Doune.

Leaving Glasgow we travel to the Aberfoyle area, where our first stop is the Scottish Wool Centre. We continue north via the Pass of Leny, pausing for photo stops of the spectacular views at Loch Achray and Loch Drunkie in the Trossachs. Travelling via Loch Earn and the Strathearn Valley, our next stop is Crieff, where we visit The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery.

Learn about the whisky-making process, be entertained by its unique interactive show, and be dazzled by a brand new interactive tasting bar for 2011. Last but not least, enjoy a ‘tour and a taste’ with an exclusive and unique tasting of a 30-year old malt whisky, which retails at over £100 and is only available to Timberbush customers. Enjoy a range of tasty lunch options in the award-winning restaurant or take a stroll in the distillery grounds.

After lunch we make a brief stop to explore the 14th Century Doune Castle, and finally make our way to the imposing Stirling Castle, with its turbulent past and associations to some of Scotland's most interesting historic figures, including William Wallace and Mary, Queen of Scots. Enjoy time here before your return to Glasgow.

Important Information:
- We recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing for the changeable Scottish weather, and because you will have the opportunities for walks on some of our tours. You should wear comfortable shoes for walking, take a sunblock and/or a hat for sunny days and don't forget your camera!

You can also take cold food and drink on the coach if you wish but you will always have stops for eating and drinking - your driver will inform you of the options on the tour.
