Tour Description:
Explore Perthshire’s beautiful scenic glens and visit Scotland’s oldest distillery, The Famous Grouse Experience (Est. 1775). Experience a brand new interactive tasting bar and enjoy an exclusive tasting of a 30 year old malt whisky for Timberbush customers taking the distillery tour. Take a woodland walk at The Hermitage and enjoy a brief visit to the picturesque town of South Queensferry with the chance to enjoy spectacular views of the Forth Bridges.
Leaving Edinburgh we travel to Fife for our first brief stop at Dunfermline Abbey, built by King David I of Scotland. We move on through Glen Devon and the Gleneagles Hotel estate, venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup, to Glenturret Distillery, in the small market town of Crieff, where we can take a fascinating and fun tour at The Famous Grouse Experience, Glenturret Distillery.
Learn about the whisky-making process, be entertained by its unique interactive show, and be dazzled by a brand new interactive tasting bar for 2011. Last but not least, enjoy a ‘tour and a taste’ with an exclusive and unique tasting of a 30-year old malt whisky, which retails at over £100.00 and is only available to Timberbush customers. Enjoy a range of tasty lunch options in the award-winning restaurant or take a stroll in the distillery grounds.
After lunch we travel through the picturesque scenery of the “Sma’Glen” to Dunkeld where we stop to admire its Cathedral, then we move on to The Hermitage for a short woodland walk.
We leave Perthshire and continue to the charming village of South Queensferry, where we make a brief stop for coffee and to admire magnificent views of the Forth Bridges before returning to Edinburgh.

Not Included:
- Food, drink, visitor attraction entry fees and activities such as cruises are not included in the tour price but these are optional and we can advise you of the costs before you book.
Important Information:
- We recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing for the changeable Scottish weather, and because you will have the opportunities for walks on some of our tours. You should wear comfortable shoes for walking, take a sunblock and/or a hat for sunny days and don't forget your camera!
You can also take cold food and drink on the coach if you wish but you will always have stops for eating and drinking - your driver will inform you of the options on the tour.
