Private Full Day Tour to Scottish Highlands and Loch NessFull Day Tour to Loch Ness. A long 12 hour day taking in the very best of the Scottish Highlands. As we head north crossing the Highland Boundary Fault Line we will pass by the historic Stirling Castle and hear the real story of Braveheart. Then we pass over the Spittal Bridge with a great view of Doune Castle, a medieval hunting lodge now used on film in such features as Monty Python and Outlander. At this point we have 3 options for a break; Coffee Brothy at Deanston Distillery, Quick tour of Doune Castle, or Woolen Mills with the Hairy Cows.

The we pass through Glen Ogle, Crianlarich and Tyndrum.  After we pass through Ranoch Moor to reach Glencoe; Private Full Day Tour to Scottish Highlands and Loch Nessfull of history and stunning landscape most recently used in the latest James Bond film Skyfall. For lunch we can go to Fort William then after we stop at the Commando Memorial for views of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain.

We then travel up the Great Glen making our way to Loch Ness. We will stop at Fort Augustus where you have a chance to hop aboard the Royal Scot for a short 1 hour cruise of Loch Ness. This boat is equipped with sonar that is used to hunt the Loch Ness Monster. After you will have some time to walk through the Lock System of the Caledonian Canal.

Private Full Day Tour to Scottish Highlands and Loch NessFinally we turn south as we are half way on the tour. The tour continues through Loch Laggan and Ardverikie Castle, the setting for the tv series Monarch of the Glen. On the way back we stop in Pitlochry before ending your long day back in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
