Tour Description:

Loch Ness, Inverness and the Highlands
This tour will take you through a landscape rich in history, myth and legend - among the sites you'll see will be Culloden, last stand of the Highlanders against the British government forces. You'll also be able to walk the moors of Glen Coe, where the MacDonalds were betrayed, and experience the rugged beauty of Braveheart country. At each stop our guides will be there to bring the history alive for you.
You'll be travelling through some of the best scenery in Scotland - from the dizzying heights of the Drumochter Pass to the stunning peaks of the
Cairngorms national park; from the majestic sweep of the Great Glen (which runs for 100km across the Highlands) to the towering heights of Ben Nevis (Britain's highest mountain). Along the way there will be ample time to get out and breathe in the Highland air, stretch your legs and try some hearty Highland fare.
The night stop is in Drumnadrochit, a beautiful and welcoming village on the shores of Loch Ness. This means that in the morning, after a hearty Scottish breakfast, you'll be able to really explore this beautiful loch. Why not take a boat tour over to Urquhart Castle* (with the best story-teller on the water), visit the Loch Ness 2000 Exhibition*,
or just monster hunt from the shore? On the way home, you'll travel down the beautiful western shore of Loch Lomond, homeward bound for Glasgow.
