Tour Description:

Haggis Adventure - Skye High Tour
The Skye High is a wee gem of a trip – ideal for travellers short on time who want to get the most out of their time on Scottish soil. All the best stuff is packed in - Nessie hunting, ruined castles, stunning lochs and dramatic mountains. All this as you listen to tales of Celtic myths and legends before a couple of great nights in a Highland pub. Then there's the star of the show, a whole day on the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Edinburgh to Loch Ness
Isle of Skye 3 day tourDeparts 8.30am. We leave Scotland's capital crossing the Forth Road Bridge and make our way through Macbeth country to Dunkeld with its mighty Cathedral. Then onto a Highland whisky distillery to sample the ‘Water of Life’ and discover how Scotland’s favourite tipple is made. Journeying on through Inverness, capital of the Highlands, we follow the entire length of Loch Ness, searching for a glimpse of the legendary beast. Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness is home for the night.

Day 2: Loch Ness to Isle of Skye
Today we explore the 'winged isle' or 'isle of mist' with its ruined castles, awesome scenery and home to the legendary MacLeod and MacDonald Clans. Immersed in Celtic myths and Viking legends, tales abound with faeries and the selkies while we explore the windswept Isle of Skye 3 day tourlandscape and brooding Black Cuillin Mountain range before passing the beautiful Eilean Donan Castle.

Day 3: Loch Ness to Edinburgh
Leaving the Great Glen we pass under the shadow of Ben Nevis and our route south takes us through the stunning Glencoe (used as a backdrop in Skyfall and the Harry Potter movies). We head past Stirling, scene of many of Scotland’s most famous and bloody battles in the Wars of Independence. We hear of local legends such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce before our return to Edinburgh approximately 5.00pm.
