Murder most foul! A Jacobite murder-mystery.
The year is 1746 and the forces of Bonnie Prince Charlie are in full retreat. The Clan McGregor are still loyal to his, the Jacobite cause and seek new converts.

Fighting Highlanders, cooks, nurses and..soldier's comforters.
With his inspirational piper Ewan at hand to stir the blood, Big Jock, Chief of the McGregors is keen to swell the ranks.

But is there a government spy in the company? And will the Prince make an appearance, as promised?
If someone is indeed murdered, there will be a full investigation and full punishment administered.

These are dangerous times.

Day by Day Itinerary:

Our Murder-Mystery Nights
Most of our murder mystery shows are performed in one sitting, usually over dinner or a buffet-style meal. The actors intermingle with the guests who generally remain seated throughout, the information being imparted by us to your party in conversational style.

Once the foul deed is done, the party is broken up into teams to try to solve the murder. The actors are quizzed over their actions but guests can also have the finger of suspicion pointed at them! Each team will then be called upon to come up with a culprit and their method of murder.

Murder-Mystery Venues
Numbers-wise we can cater for up to seventy guests at our murder mystery events with maybe twenty being our lowest workable minimum. It is very interactive and everyone will have their say - that way you all feel involved.

We discourage greedy hoteliers from stuffing hundreds of guests into a room and expect anything better than an uncontrolled rabble, preferring our murder mystery nights to remain great value for money.

About our Murder-Mysteries
A typical murder-mystery night lasts between 2 and 3 hours but the more in-depth the investigation, the longer the process.

Our experience allows us to tailor and control the duration of the murder mystery event and ‘faffing about’ will not be tolerated.

If the faffing is genuinely interesting or funny then perhaps we will be lenient.

Murder-Mystery Weekends
Weekend murder-mystery events are rather more complex and usually take place in hotel settings.

Actors can be on duty at most times of the day, from an evening welcome and address to characters ruining your breakfast and making a noise at suppertime.

Realistically, murder mystery weekends will be at their height around Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday evening then Sunday breakfast for conclusions.

Murder-Mystery Themes
Our murder- mystery themes vary tremendously, from period settings (1746, 1280, 1973) to modern-day murder mystery titles that might be about the theft of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s brooch, a death in the office, Santa’s demise or a certain popular board game.

We are open to devising new murder-mystery shows to suit your guests and yes, we welcome parties who want to dress for the occasion. We always tog up for these too!

Some murder-mystery companies put out ‘actors’ in thirty quid Tesco suits and have them annoy you at the table with no thought to subtlety or manners. We put ours out in much cheaper costumes than that but you will be delighted to have us sit in with you.

Why Our Murder-Mystery Events Are Different
Murder-Mystery nights and weekends are generally played for laughs so most of our characterisations are a tad over-the-top. It is not a genre for introspection. If you want to see gentle theatre, book seats for a Chekhov play.

Our murder-mystery shows are a great night out and you will get experienced actors who will give it their all. Or else.
