Our tour of Scotland's 3rd largest city will take us to the hidden gems of the 'Granite City'.
We start by the harbour area of the city, recorded as the oldest business in Britain, now a bustling vibrant port serving the oil industry.
Delving into the nearby area where the city grew from we emerge on to Union Street - the granite mile.
Here we can see the granite at its finest with many buildings a testament to the skills of the masons who built them. The most magnificent being Marshal College, the 2nd largest granite building in the world.
Taking in the Catlegate area we head for Old Aberdeen. Once a separate burgh but now part of the city, is the home of the University of Aberdeen, the 3rd oldest in Scotland founded in 1495.
We explore this UNESCO World Heritage site. The Chapel at Kings College, consecrated in1508, still retaining many of its original features, the cobbled High Street, the charming lanes, the old Town House and the imposing St Machar Cathedral are all waiting to be discovered before our tour ends.
