Tour Description

Scotland is currently experiencing a boom in Beer and Whisky production. This tour will take you on a journey through the production of these drinks with the chance to immerse yourself in the creation, distillation, and flavours.

The day starts by travelling into Stirlingshire, past the majestic Kelpies and Stirling Castle. Our first stop is Glenturret Distillery, founded in 1775, it is considered the oldest working distillery in Scotland, and home to the Famous Grouse brand.  Here you will get an immersive tour followed by a tasting of 5 whiskies from their range.

Leaving Crieff behind you will make your way toward Callander, sitting on the Highland Boundary Fault line, this popular town in seen as the Gateway to the Highlands.

You will then make your way towards Bridge of Allan and the Allanwater Brewery.  Started in 1996, this microbrewery makes all their interesting beers and ciders onsite.  During the tour, you will learn their brewing secrets, smell the hops and sample their available products. They now even have their own gin range, Canmore. You can try the incredible flavours such as: Traditional, Heather & Honey, Bramble & Raspberry, Gooseberry & Grapefruit.

After enjoying the fine beer and ciders of Allanwater Brewery you will make your way back towards Edinburgh, where your guide will recommend more watering holes for the rest of your stay now you have a taste for Scotland’s drinks!
