 The Log Cabin Hotel is a gorgeous traditional Norwegian pine cabin set high in the picturesque hills of highland Perthshire. The hotel is set in secluded woodland where you can often spot local wildlife such as red squirrels deers pheasants rabbits and buzzards from your own bedroom windows. From our front bar you can also enjoy stunning views down the glen and local countryside while eating some great food cooked using local ingredients such as vennison sirloin steaks and even local honey. Our friendly staff will make sure you are well looked after and children are most welcome as we have a special kids menu and lots of toys to keep the young ones amused. As well as lovely doubles and twin rooms we also have great family rooms and a large bunk room suitable for hill walkersbackpackers or for groups travelling together. For the hill walkersoutdoor enthusiasts we also offer a drying room facility and we are happy to make packed lunches for the next stage of your trip. All of our rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and en-suite bathrooms (some of our doubletwin rooms also have Tv's and Ipod docking radio alarm clocks). Our restaurant and bar is open 6 nights a week from Tuesday-Sunday and we serve lunches on Saturday and Sunday. (both the bar and restaurant is closed on Monday's) Our menu changes daily based on what local produce is available and our starter range from: £2.95 for a soup up to £4.95 for a delicious chicken liver and brandy pate served with red onion chutney and oatcakes. Our mains start from £7.50- £12.95 . Our very popular 'Cabin burger' is homemade from local beef and served with cheese bacon lettucetomato spicy salsa and chips- not for the faint hearted! We pride ourselves on our home made desserts such as a wicked lemon merangue pie fruit crumbles and a hot apple pie. We also have a childrens menu with yummy things like wholetail scampi sausages burgers chicken fillets goujons and home made macaroni cheese ranging from £3.50- £4.20.

The village of Kirkmichael is on the main A924 equal distance (about 14 miles)between both Pitlochry and Blairgowrie. Once you arrive in Kirkmichael you turn over the bridge (right if coming from Pitlochry and left if coming from Blairgowrie)and drive up the tarmac road past the school turning quite a sharp left between 2 houses and then follow that road until you come to a large house called 'Curran House' (which is painted a burn't orangeyellow colour) where you turn right and head up the hill and you will find the hotel at the top. It only take about 3 minutes from the middle of the village.
