The Isle of Skye Experience Tour from Glasgow (TourID: 1096)
Date: October 12, 2011

I wanted to write you about the tour my friend and I experienced in Skye.

- First of all, the minivan was very comfortable, very clean and calm.
- The group (which doens't really depend on you) was so nice and relaxed.
- The bed&breakfest we stayed at the first day in Skye was AMAZING!!!! the hosts there were nice, adorable and gave us everything we asked for. The hotel in Loch-Ness was also very beautiful, clean, great great food and hosting.
- The places we visited at (the tour itself) were amazing. I couldn't ask for better places to visit at. It seems like Allan (which I will soon be talking about) took us to the most amazing places in Scotland that I couldn't even dream about. I loved every place, I didnt feel we were wasting time and seeing things that are not super special and I felt everything was orgaznied perfectly. you chose amazing places to take us to!
- Allan was absolutely great. He told us so intersting stories, drove calm and easy, helped us with every little question we had, treated us so nice, explained everything perfectly and just was super. I will give him 10 points our of 10. he is a great great great tour guide, I'm so happy he was our guide.

I really honestly tell you the tour was amazing, everything was perfect, on time, beautiful places and great treatment. I could not ask for more.
Thank you so much about the patience, the quick answers and I amazing experience I had in Skye becuase of you. I will definitely and for sure recommend this tour to everyone I know will fly to Scotland. I'm so pleased with everything, have nothing bad to say.
Amazing tour, great tour guide and pleasant treatement.

Thank you again and hope to take your tours in the future!!!

On the shores of Loch Ness and Highlands Experience Tour from Edinburgh (TourID: 1098)
Date: September 30, 2011

My tour was awesome, thanks. The driver was really cool, I think his name was Mav, but I can't remember exactly. He was informative, but relaxed and funny. The tour itself took in so many great sights, and the stop times were pretty much perfect every time. It really showed off Scotland as the beautiful, richly historic country it is. I won't hesitate to recommend your company to anyone who is planning on travelling to Scotland. If I absolutely had to find any little thing to constructively criticise, it wouldn't be about your tour, but I would suggest a complete ban on cellphone usage whilst in the tour van. Although it didn't happen frequently, there was one person on my tour who had a couple of medium-length conversations over the two day tour, which I'm sure could have waited until we were stopped somewhere. Oh and lastly, the initial booking process was very easy to follow, although I did have issues initially booking the tour but you sorted that out within a day of me contacting you about it so definitely no problems there.

Thanks again, I hope to come back and do your Orkney and Outer Hebrides tour at some stage next year.

Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland/England border and Hadrian’s Wall Tour from Edinburgh (TourID: 1110)
Date: September 23, 2011

The Rosslyn chapel, Melrose Abbey and Hadrain's wall tour was fantastic. The tour director Brian was great. I had an opportunity to talk with Brian through out the day and his enthusiasm was ever present. His recommendations for Kilt manufacturers allowed me to purchase a made to measure below the tourist prices on high street. all in all the tour was money well spent.

Date: September 18, 2011

the tour has been very interesting, and funny too (thanks to Kenny!). I will certainly suggest it to any friend who should come to your wonderful Country. It was very well organized and I think it gave me the opportunity to see as much as I could of the Highlands, in only one day. The history and anecdotes I have been told that day are still in my mind and made me want to know more about them. I could not wish for anything better!

Speyside Whisky and Loch Ness Tour (TourID: 1076)
Date: September 9, 2011

We (6 persons all male from Sweden) were on tour 9-11 September 2011, Speyside Whisky and Loch Ness tour. The driver/guide was Simon, don´t remeber his last name. Overall it was a good tour with lot af distillery visit together with scenic views. Perhaps the tour should extent to four days. The last day (third) was the drivingtime to long and we only take short stops exept the visit to Culloden Battlefield. Simon was excellent as both driver and guide. He knows all the Scottish heroes and history.

All my teammembers loved this tour and i think we will be back in Scotland again sametime next year. Whisky tour to Islay.

Isle of Skye, Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness Tour (TourID: 1004)
Date: September 8, 2011

WE were very pleased with the tour. The guide was pretty easy to understand compared to a lot of persons in businesses and restaurants with whom we talked. He was full of stories and events that took place on Skye and between Skye and Edinburgh. (At least he told a lot and we have to assume they are all true.) He altered the pick ups on Friday and Saturday morning giving folks different opportunities to sit at a different place. We were very pleased with the guide, sites visited, and various stops. He was generous in making a couple of alterations when as a whole the group or a large portion of the group was not particularly interested in seeing a site -- the wiskey making visit and Van Dagen (sp) castle/palace. Our B&B was very comfortable and the breakfast was served on time and good quality.

Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness Day Tour from Edinburgh (TourID: 1113)
Date: September 4, 2011

We were on the 12 hour trip up into nothern Scotland. We were on the smaller bus with approx 12 people. which my husband and I really enjoyed I would not have wanted to be on the larger bus, with more people (we saw these tours at the stops that we made)

What made the trip soooo enjoyable was our tour guide Rose. She. herself was a total delight, and how she told the stories and info was so entertaining, they kept us interested in what we were seeing and hearing. Making the hole trip seem less than the 12 hours. The scenery in it self was magnificent, but the information and stories that Rose told us made everything really come alive for us making the trip really awesome.

The Great Hebridean Tour - Skye, Harris and Lewis (TourID: 1077)
Date: August 21, 2011

A little note to let you know how much I enjoyed my Outer Hebriddean Tour - it really was fantastic!! Marty was a truly excellent driver/guide - full of passion and knowledge of Scotland and it's history. I thought the little 'bus' we travelled in was excellent, but I can see that 'older' patrons had a bit of trouble getting in and out, specially the rear seats. I loved travelling up front with the driver (I was the only one short enough to fit in the middle). The accommodation was really welcoming, comfortable and helpful - travelling as a single can be difficult for B&B bookings, but you sorted it for me pretty well. Our days were packed with things to see and do with plenty of opportunity to purchase souveniers if required. Marty gave us his insight in relation to dining locations in the evenings, all options from budget friendly to extravagant. We made ample stops for breaks - not so many as to waste our days. The out of the way places we were taken to were a real bonus. I have plenty of wonderful photos of the places we visited - some of which I had already been to, plus our ancestoral home Eileen Donan Castle - and I will be keeping an eye on your facebook page to keep up to date with available tours. I hope to travel with you again on my next trip to UK.

Booking on line was quite manageable, and I had no difficulties with payments, documentation etc.

Thanks guys for a great service - and high praise for Marty, an excellent friendly knowledgeable helpful tour leader. :)

Walking Tour of Stirling Castle and Old Town (TourID: 1123)
Date: July 30, 2011

We are back from our eight-days in Scotland. In Stirling on July 30 we had one of our best tours ever!!

Over the past four years, My wife and I have spent holidays in 34 cities in 22 countries and worked with tour guides in most places. Our experiences have all been very good. So, when I say that Joe Clifford was one of the best, it should really means something.

We found him to be extremely knowledgeable about Stirling and Scottish history; he was never at a loss responding to any of our many questions. Equally important, he was very professional and easy to work with. Joe is a nice person who loves his job and we would recommend him to anyone in an instant. Thank you for matching us up with Joe!

It was easy to find online. I found it using my iPad and the Trip Advisor App. I chose it because of the description and the positive reviews. The bus was comfortable
The driver was insightful and provided a lot of historical and relevant information
The bus was centrally located and easy to get to.
The scenery and countryside! Well, that speaks for itself. Beautiful!

I thoroughly enjoyed it and will and do recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you for a wonderful day!

I found booking online from australia very easy. The tour was terrific - accommodation at Lough Ness lovely. Our tour guide was Chris who showed us the 'unplastic side' of Scotland which I loved. He was passionate about Scotland, maybe a little too cutting about the English....... but all in all I couldn't fault him. He was fun and looked after everyone. We did an awful lot in 2 days - it was super. Some time in the future I would love to do the Isle of Skye!

Orkney Islands Day Trip from Inverness (TourID: 1031)
Date: June 7, 2011

I am glad to hear from you, as I was in the process of researching how to convey my feedback to your organization. The trip I booked (Orkney daily tour) was more than magnificent!

Our guide (Sandy) did his best to make us feel comfortable, well entertained and he gave us valuable historical information, mixed with well-chosen jokes and running gags, to make the hours spent in traveling more bearable, and to prepare us for the sites we were about to visit.

The wonderful journey did not only make me love the beautiful nature of the region, but also made me want to see more, so next year I am definitely coming back, with the intention of seeing the Hebrides, and even maybe one more time the Orkney islands - one days is simply not enough to comprehend everything the Orkneys have to offer. .

In conclusion, I would like to state this: what started as a simple detour (I was on a vacation in Sweden & Denmark; Scotland was just a bonus), made me fall in love with Scotland and I am most definitely coming back! Large part of this falls to your agency and the professionals who take care of us, tourists, during the trip I booked.

Thank you and your staff for the wonderful time in Scotland

We had an absolute blast - thanks for your efforts on our behalf.

The guide was great. He did a really good job of balancing showing us some of the sights, giving us information, and knowing when we were looking to break off on our own. In my experience guides can be a bit pushy and try to show you everything, but we were treated really well and never felt rushed.

The distilleries chosen were great, especially Glengoyne - really nice place, very nicely done, and my friends and I actually purchased a cask of whisky together. This means, of course, that we'll be coming back often (and again in November, for which I'll be emailing you later to help arrange some travel and accommodation).

Gleneagles was fantastic - truly one of the best places we could have stayed. The service was great, and the staff were astoundingly accommodating - even as my friends and I drank most of the whisky we bought earlier in the day and smoked cigars on the croquet pitch. Great choice, and we'd recommend it to anyone thinking about partaking of shooting, golf, or just a nice stay in a beautiful place. Also, very nice spa area that was included in the room price.

Bottom line, your itinerary was great, didn't push us too far while showing us enough of the country to feel like we were outside of the cities, and the driver was fantastic. We'd recommend your services to any friends heading to Scotland, and the driver specifically if he's available when they come calling.

Thanks again, and look forward to working with you again when we return for the cask-filling in November.

Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland/England border and Hadrian’s Wall Tour from Edinburgh (TourID: 1110)

I went on the Rosslyn Chapel, Scotland/England border and Hadrian's Wall Tour from Edinburgh / ItinID: 122122288 Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2011 06:19:49 -0500 -- and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I had wanted to see Hadrian's Wall forever, and I Go Scotland Tours was the only day trip out to Hadrian's Wall that I could find -- all others were multi-day trips. So I booked. (I believe we stopped at Melrose as well -- but it's not listed above in the Tour Description).

Booking was easy -- and you were very helpful when I emailed to say that I couldn't print the confirmation (because I didn't have a printer) -- you told me just to bring the confirmation number.

Our guide was wonderful -- pleasant, and knowledgeable, and personable; providing some good insight and good conversation with travellers on the tour. The day provided a good amount of time at each location -- I never felt rushed. Each stop provided time to walk around and see a primary site -- but it never felt touristy.

I've never been on a big bus tour because I don't think I could bare it -- the small coach tours are perfect -- and yours was excellent.

I am hoping to be in Scotland again in 2012, and I will definitely look at taking a tour through your group again.

I truly enjoyed the day, and would recommend it to friends.

Orkney Islands Day Trip from Inverness (TourID: 1031)
Date: November 8, 2010

We did enjoy the tour, thank you. However, it was all a bit rushed and I didn't feel as though I had enough time to appreciate Skara Brae in the timeslot allowed. Seeing Skara Brae was the main reason for my taking the tour and so I was a bit disappointed. I think, in hind sight, that we should have tried to stay in Kirkwall and taken a tour from there, but we didn't know enough to do that.

The guiding and service in general was very good and we have no complaints there. Perhaps you could consider adding an hour or so onto the tour. It wouldn't make much difference whether it took 14 hours or 15 hours and then it wouldn't feel as though we were being rushed along. For example, we didn't get a chance really to have a proper look at John o' Groats because we had to race for the ferry and on the way back we had to run for the bus.

Nevertheless, the tour was well worth taking and thank you for making it so memorable.

Loch Lomond, Whisky, and Stirling Castle Tour Experience from Edinburgh (TourID: 1102)
Date: September 1, 2010

Me and my son attend a one-day tour (Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and Glengoyne destilleries) in the beginning of September 2010.

Our main goal was Glengoyne visit, because both of us are intrested in malt whisky. During the day we found the tour very intresting, Stirling castle with guidence very good and the stop on Loch Lomond was beautiful. The landscape was much like Sweden. Your driver/guide was very good, he talked a lot but we get a good picture of the historical part of Scotland.

Thank you so much for proceeding with the tour to Orkney following the cancellations of the others.
The trip to Orkney has changed my life. David Ladd enriched the journey with his knowledge and passion for Scotland. I enjoyed every moment. David was very supportive in my quest to find my family once we reached Orkney and was an absolute gentleman the entire time and was flexible to my requests and needs.

I will certainly recommend this tour to family and friends in Australia and look forward to returning to Scotland in the near future.

Orkney Islands Day Trip from Inverness (TourID: 1031)
Date: July 20, 2010

Yes i did go on one of the tours. Went up to Orkney Islands. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour around the island, had a great tour guide/busdriver, he was brilliant. would give him 10/10. Was a shame that the tour was so short, next time i go i would stay for a couple of days there. Think what made the tour even better was the fact we had a beautiful sunny day.

The only negative factor being was it is such a long day, but you can always sleep on the bus on the way back which is exactly what i did!!!

would recommend this tour to anyone, I had a great time.

Day Tour to Loch Ness and the Highlands from Glasgow (TourID: 1005)
Date: July 20, 2010

I had a fantastic time through Scotland Tours, I would recommend the company to others. Everything was great, but the highlight had to be the boat ride on loch Ness. The guide and service was well organised and knowledgable. It was a great day to spend Mother's Day with my mum.

Thank you

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for arranging everything for us. First of all, I found out that Irelands souvenier are a bit cheaper than Scotland. I should have bought a lot more cute key chains and t-shirts.

We saw the1) Firth of Clyde, 2) Sterling Castle, 3) Village of Luss ( I would recommend this as part of your tour) We were not there that long but it is such beautiful village with full of flowers in front of people's residences 4) viewed part of the Loch and......... I was not sure if we ate 5) lunch in Aberfoyle Village but then again.......we are easy customers. I believe we were on the other side of the dock. We ate in another place with our guide and treated him like family. We decided not to do the cruise on the Balloch because after looking at the time, there just wouldn't be enough time to go back to the ship. We would have been biting our nails if we had added that cruise. We considered the traffic also going back. It was our own judgement call even though I am sure that the guide would have relented because it was part of our arrangement. We were thankful that we did not do the cruise. The ride going back became stress free!

Guide: The name of our guide is Roland Smith. Please use him if you can possibly get him. He is the funniest, easy going, hard-working, and the best tour guide we ever-ever had. If you want to change carreer Mike, sponsor this guy and ask him to be his manager while he is performing his act as a comedian. You will be rich in no time. He is good!!!, really good!!! He can imitate several character voices, this guy is gifted and very natural.

As for Edinburgh, the problem here was that from the ship, you have to be tendered to the dock. That got our schedule skewed. We were 40 minutes late meeting our guide because of the numbering inside the ship. The people that got the shore excursion from Princess got out of the little boat first while the rest waited for the transportation to come back to the ship. We were happy that we included 1) Rosslyn Chapel to our list of must see. Going into the city, we saw a glimpse of Arthurs Seat. We were drop off close to Edinburgh Castle, saw the castle (very impressive), went to some of the store at the royal mile, gobbled our fish and chips along the way then got picked up to see Hollyrood.

Loch Ness and Scottish Highlands Day Tour from Edinburgh (TourID: 1006)
Date: June 3, 2010

We were a group of 10 students and a teacher from Denmark. We were in Scotland for 5 days and the 12 hour trip that we had with our company was the best. We have talked a lot about it since. The best thing was the driver and his guiding. He was so funny and entertaining. He made the hours fly by so quickly. The natur in Scotland is absolutely beautiful and we really got to see that during the trip.

The prices were fair and the bus was very comfortable. The size of the bus, around 33 persons, was really good, because it made you feel more related to the driver and the other people.

The only thing we wish we could have gone, was to take a little walk in one of the valleys with the mountains on both sides. But we know that there wasn't enough time.

All in all we have a great trip, that we will always combine with Scotland.

Day Tour to Loch Ness and the Highlands from Glasgow (TourID: 1005)
Date: April 7, 2010

This was my first trip to Scotland but I plan to return with my husband in the future! The tour was wonderful - wish the weather would have been a bit more agreeable but nothing to be done about that:-) Our tour guide did a very nice job of providing us with historical facts and I LOVED the Scottish music that he provided. I felt completely comfortable with his driving too!

I will not hesitate to use your services in the future.
