Homecoming is a year long programme that showcases Scotland with a focus on Scottish ancestry. A series of events are planned throughout the year with themes such as dance, music, food and drink. We are offering transportation to various Highland Games throughout the summer which is a traditional Scottish sporting event that include such ancient sports as the caber toss and hammer throw. And with plenty of food and drink it is a great day out for everyone.

The year of 2014 is going to be an exciting year with so many grand events happening. In addition to the above Glasgow is hosting the Commonwealth Games and the Ryder Cup golf tournament is being held at Gleneagles. Both these and any other event Go Scotland Tours would be more then happy to greet you for transfers or sightseeing day tours.

the Battle of BannockburnIn 1314 King Robert the Bruce faced Edward II of England for an epic 2 day battle that against all odds was victorious in recapturing Scotland's identity. This year will be the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn and we are so excited for the new Visitor's Centre opening in March 2014. Join us on one of our regular tours to Bannockburn to discover the intriguing history of Robert the Bruce and the thrilling story of the Scottish Wars of Independence. In search of Robert the Bruce you may also considering visiting Dufermline Abbey where his Tomb is, and in the Scottish Borders is Melrose Abbey which is the place where his heart was buried. The Story of Scotland tour will take you through our history to other important battlefields such as Culloden and Killiecrankie.
